What was to become the Shoalhaven Historic Vehicle Club was initially formed on 12th November 1970 as a sub-branch of the South Coast Vintage Car Club . The first meeting was attended by twenty-five people and was held at the Nowra Girl Guide Hall where a sub-committee was elected and the club existed in that form until 1977 when the branch became a club in its own right. A competition was held for the design of a club badge/logo and the winning design was submitted by Kevin Emery, who was to become a life member.
The Aim of the Club:
To encourage people to preserve and enjoy historic vehicles
be they cars, bikes, commercial vehicles, or steam engines.
The Club welcomes new members and we have a current membership of 324.
