The Club organises:
The first major rally was to Tasmania in March 1972. It was such a hit that we returned in 1982!
In 1984 the Club staged a rally from Coolangatta (near Shoalhaven Heads) to Coolangatta in Queensland. A highlight was the carriage of a congratulatory letter from the Shoalhaven City Mayor to the Mayor of Coolangatta in recognition of their town's 100 year anniversary. In addition, the club had a special pottery jug commissioned from Peter the Potter of Coolangatta (NSW) and this was filled with port from Jasper Valley Wines. The jug was accompanied by bottles of port complete with commemorative labels. Thirteen cars and one motor bike with 45 people made the journey. The Mayor of Coolangatta presented the Club with a piece of timber from the shipwreck of The Coolangatta, as a memento of our journey.
Other rallies took our members to South Queensland, the east coast and along the Great Ocean Road to Mount Gambier, Adelaide via the Hay plains, Albury to Mildura. A tour of the central west of NSW, Griffith, Gulgong, Mudgee, Ayers Rock, Alice Springs via Broken Hill and Coober Pedy. The club has also visited Dubbo, Parkes, Bourke, Lightning Ridge, Charleville, Roma, and Moree. We have also rallied to Darwin NT and Perth WA. In all, we have held a Biannual Rally for 20 years.
Not to be outdone, the motorbike members continue to hold a bike rally each year, affectionately called The Kickstart Rally, which is very successful.
